Casual Street Style

Hello everyone! Man, it has been a long time since I’ve posted and it feels SO good to be back! Today we are talking about casual street style. This is definetly my kind of look. Skinny jeans, converse, and a flowy top. Usually, I’ll add a flannel but I didn’t have one with me today and I am still upset about it. You can find me wearing this on the days I am not working or when I am feeling particularly lazy but still want to look put together. Also, can we talk about this hair?!  I decided to add some textured waves to complete this look and I feel like it just takes it to the next level.

1st item you need is a pair of your favorite jeans. I prefer to wear skinny jeans over any other type of jean.Honestly, when I see bell bottom pants or the flair cut I cringe. How on earth can I go back to wearing pants like that? What is the point of all the extra fabric?! Does anyone else feel this way or is it just me?! I’ve also noticed  since I am short skinny jeans are the only way to go, otherwise my entire leg would be taken over by loose flared out fabric. Which is very Bum Chic but I’ll just stick to my skinnies haha! Skinny jeans are so trendy and can dress up even the most casual outfit. I don’t know what it is about them but they magically transform any outfit for okay to slayyyy haha! Bad joke? yeah I agree but it made me laugh.

Next on the agenda is a loose fitting top. There is nothing comfier than a shirt that loosely hangs off your body.  The shirt I am wearing is from American Eagle, and it is one of my all time favorites. I love loose fitting tops because they look effortlessly fashionable, espeically paired with tight fitting dark wash denim, yaaaas please! Now, if you want you can add a flannel for a “I’m not trying at all to be fashionable, I just am” kind of look. Tie a flannel around your waist. Seriously do it. It just brings everything together. If you would have asked me 3 years ago if I would tie a flannel around my waist I would have told you to tying anything around your waist was only for the 90s and to get with the  times. Well, looks like we hopped into the Delorian and went back to the 90s. 90s Grunge is back people. Smokey eyes, chokers, dark lipsticks, tied flannels its grunge central in 2016 and I’m totally okay with it hahah!

Side note: Check out those beachy locks! If you haven’t seen my YouTube tutorial on how I achieve these curls you should probably head over to my YouTube channel after you finish reading this. Just saying 😉

Now where was I? Oh yeah shoes, I believe every girl needs to own a pair of white converse. Why ? Because you can wear them with literally EVERYTHING and they still look cute. Converse and a dress, cute. Converse and skinny jeans, killin it. Converse and shorts. Yaaaas girl. Ha I think I made my point haha! I love my converse and they are the perfect shoe to complete the street style look.

Well I hope you guys enjoyed this little fashion post! I know I enjoyed writing it for you. 🙂 Thank you for stopping by!
